Lastly, consuming foods that contain vitamin C may also be helpful when dealing with infections. Vitamin C is known to reduce inflammation, which can help ease the pain associated with an ear infection. Foods such as oranges, strawberries, bell peppers, and kale are all great sources of vitamin C.
