We’re happy to inform you that chiropractic care is an effective treatment for most types of radiating pain. That’s right; you don’t have to live with your radiating pain forever!

WHAT CAUSES RADIATING PAIN?

What’s typically called ‘radiating pain’ is a shocking, shooting pain that travels along a nerve pathway and is often caused by the compression of spinal nerves. Radiculopathy, the medical term for spinal nerve compression, causes the nerves to send garbled signals to the brain and can produce a sensation of radiating pain.

Radiating pain can feel like it’s coming from a wide range of areas of the body. You might feel a sharp pain shoot from your shoulder down into your elbow, from your neck into your head, or from your lower back into your legs and foot, for example.

If you feel radiating pain shooting from your lower back down into your lower legs, you like are experiencing some form of sciatica or damage to the sciatic nerve.
