What Neck Pain is and Will it Go Away?
Neck pain is described as any discomfort that one experiences in the neck area, either on one side or both sides. The severity of the neck pain can vary from a slight occasional discomfort to sharp excruciating pain that produces dizziness, headache or migraines.
Neck pain is a public health concern because of its large prevalence, second only to low back pain. Will Neck Pain Go Away by Itself?
Depending on the cause of the discomfort, it may resolve by itself over time. However, a study by Zepoletal and colleagues found a significant correlation between suboccipital neck pain and osteoarthritis in the atlanto-odontoid junction. This means that over time, the slight discomfort at the base of the head, if not treated appropriately can lead to osteoarthritis with other complications.

Most of the world’s population will experience back pain at least once in their lifetime. This may be due to an injury, overuse, or other reasons like cancer, scoliosis, and infections. Not every case is the same and there are many possible causes. What Causes Low Back Pain?
There is no doubt that low back pain is one of the leading causes of disabilities in the world! According to Lee (2001), the mean time off due to low back pain in a period of 5 years, is 17 days. If that were time spent doing something enjoyable, we would say “It’s time well spent”. However, the reality is that when low back pain is severe enough for one to take time off work, the chances are that they experience difficulties with movements, sleeping, and feel the emotional pressure that pain adds to life.
There are many things that can cause low back discomfort, ranging from a simple muscle spasm to kidney stones and cauda equina syndrome. These can greatly vary in symptoms. Some may just have some discomfort or an urge to “crack” their back, and others may not be able to walk due to shooting pain, numbness, or tingling down their legs, even loss of bladder control.

What Causes Shoulder Pain?
Shoulder pain is the third most common musculoskeletal complaint, behind back and neck pain, to seek medical advice (Rekola, 1993). The efficacy of corticosteroid injections for shoulder pain, one of the most common treatments in conventional medicine, is yet unclear according to the review article by Buchbinder and colleagues (2003).
The shoulder girdle (clavicle, shoulder blade, and humerus) is attached to the rest of the body mainly by muscles and ligaments. The only articulation between the shoulder girdle and the rest of the body is the sternoclavicular joint. In addition to this, the shoulder joint itself is the most unrestricted joint by nature. When you combine these two facts, it is evident how prone it is to injury.

What Causes Elbow Pain?
Elbow pain is very common in people that play sports that involve overhead throwing but also tennis and golf. The severity of pain could be excruciating to the point where all activities are stopped.

Why Does My Hip Hurt?

Why Do I Always Roll My Ankle?

Is Pain Normal During The Menstrual Cycle?
It is estimated that 45-93% of women experience discomfort during the menstrual cycle. This is usually described as cramps or discomfort in the pelvic area. Nowadays, these symptoms are considered a normal part of the menstrual cycle and for this reason, not many women seek medical help with it. According to Bernardi and colleagues, “Dysmenorrhea is defined as the presence of painful cramps of uterine origin that occur during menstruation and represents one of the most common causes of pelvic pain and menstrual disorder.”.
The female pelvic region is complex, with a lot of ligaments and small muscles holding things in place. These ligaments and muscles are supported by the structural components, mainly the spine, that is the basis of any movement. The nerves that supply these structures for movement and overall function originate from the lumbar and sacral plexus. Moreover, these nerves are being compromised at the spinal level, orchestrate the function of the organs. When the structural components have impaired movements, lead to imbalances in muscles and ligament tension in the pelvic area, compromise the nervous system and organ dysfunction is a result of this.
