Mobile Chiropractor
Maximize Your Time and Improve Your Health
Dr. Demetris Elia, Doctor of Chiropractic
DFW’s mobile chiropractor, known as “Dr. D” to his patients, comes from the beautiful island of Cyprus. At the early age of 6, he was involved in Boy Scouts. Starting as a young cub, till the age of 21 as a group leader. That is where he developed his values and passion for helping those around him. His sports career brought him to the US which is where he was first introduced to the profession of chiropractic. That is when he decided to take on the path to fulfill his passion of helping others.
Demetris’ Journey To Mobile Chiropractor
Dr. D studied chiropractic at Parker University, here in Dallas, TX. Once a graduate, he practiced in offices that specialised in Functional Neurology and Functional Medicine. Although outside of the typical chiropractic care, they provided him with a different way of thinking. As a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic, and Certified Functional Medicine Provider, Dr. D is always working on improving. He is always expanding his knowledge and understanding of how the human body works. This allows him to provide his patients with the best possible care.
Why He Chose To Be A Mobile Chiropractor
The desicion was easy.
Dr. D saw the need for care by people that lack time. People with busy schedules couldn’t make it into the office during reagular business hours and so they would put off their health . Many times, these were the patients that needed it the most!
Being a mobile chiropractor saves the patients time. Now, people with the busiest of schedules have the option for professional house call services.

THE BENEFITS OF CHIROPRACTIC CARE
As chiropractors, we look at 3 things, Trauma, Toxins, and Thoughts.
With trauma, we mean the physical part of the body with a focus on the spine. With toxins, we refer to all the nutritional habits that our patients partake in. And with thoughts, we refer to their mental state, not only emotionally but also neurologically.
Every time we treat a patient, we look at all these components and aim to have a positive impact any way we can. The benfits that patients experience are vary depending on their concers and state of being.
Some experience higher energy levels, while others feel the need to sleep right after a chiropractic adjustment. Some feel taller and lighter after treatment, while others lose weight and improve their metabolism. One things is certain and experienced by all: Chiropractic can be life changing!
What Are the Chiropractic Education Requirements?
Just like other healthcare providers, chiropractors have education requirements to meet before they can practice in each state. Although each state has its own requirements, there are some similarities from state to state.
In general, chiropractic education is a Doctorate degree that requires 7-8 years in total. 3-4 Years for a bachelor’s degree and an additional 3.5-4 years of chiropractic school. The Council on Chiropractic Education supervises the accredidation of chiropractic schools.
During these 4 years of training, chiropractors acquire a wealth of knowledge. Subjects like anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, neurology, nutrition and biomechanics make up the majority of the studies. In addition to all the course work, chiropractors acquire clinical and hands on training. These prepare them for the one-year clinical rotation that needs to be completed before graduating.
After graduation, chiropractic school graduates, have to take examinations before they get their license.
Most states require chiropractors to have successfully completed National Board Exams Parts 1, 2, 3, and 4. All the testing and examinations, test the chiropractors’ knowledge and clinical expertise.
One becomes a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic, only when they show competency in all areas of their education.
The state of Texas, requires licensed chiropractors to attend 16 hours of approved continuing education courses every year.
What Exactly Do Chiropractors Do
As explained earlier, chiropractic treatment can vary depending on the providers’ technique and approach to care. Some of the most common treatment options when under chiropractic care are: chiropractic adjustment, soft tissue thearpy, therapeutic exercises, kinesio taping and nutritional support.

Why Combine Chiropractic With Massage Therapy
It’s not a secrete that chiropractors can help with a variety of conditions, but every expert has their domain. Just like a chiropractor specializes in correcting joint restrictions with chiropractic adjustments, massage therapists are experts when it comes to soft tissue. A licensed house-call massage therapist is able to reduce tension in muscles, correct muscular imbalances, and relax the whole body. This allows for the whole body to work better and more efficiently.
Combining a house call chiropractor with massage therapy as part of the treatment plan, allows the two providers to work toward a common goal. The results of both treatments amplify resulting in a synergistic effect. This added benefit of massage therapy with chiropractic care is the secrete to the fast and long-lasting results we get with patients.
